Q: How often should I have my furnace or air conditioner serviced?

A: All manufacturers recommend annual maintenance on equipment to maintain their factory warranties. Warranties may be denied if the unit has not been regularly serviced.

Q: How long does a tune-up take?

A: Tune-ups usually take about 1 hour.

Q: How long does an in-home estimate for new equipment take?

A: Our Comfort Advisors need about 1.5 hours to adequately assess the needs of your home.

Q: What brands of equipment do you carry?

A: Lennox, Aire Flo, Armstrong, Carrier, Venmar, Healthy Climate, Aprilaire, Dynamic, Triangle Tube, Crown

Q: Do you service and replace boilers?

A: Yes, we service and carry replacement boilers.

Q: How long does a furnace and A/C system last?

A: In Minnesota, the average life span of a furnace and AC unit is 15-20 years.

Q: How often should I change my furnace filter?

A: If you are using a 1-inch filter, it should be changed monthly. If you are using a 4-to-5-inch filter, it should be changed every 3-to-4 months. There are some high-efficiency filters that last as long as 12 months.

Q: Are you NATE-certified?

A: Yes, we employ NATE-certified technicians.

Q: How long have you been in business?

A: We have been in business since 1958, 53 years.

Q: Do you have 24-hour service?

A: We have an entire service department, not just a "service guy". We can provide emergency service any time you need it, 24 hours a day.

Q: Do you sell parts?

A: Yes, we have a stocked parts department at our office in Mendota Heights.

Q: How much expertise do your technicians have?

A: Our techs continually train to stay on top of the latest technology in the industry and several of them have master's licenses.
